ALKS went on a tear today, trading up over 11% to close at $26.71 after some positive buzz regarding the treatment Byetta. The treatment, which is currently being developed by AMLN, LLY and ALKS, was spoken about positively by Pipar Jaffray analyst Thomas Wei. Volume was quite heavy, with over 5.8 million shares changing hands, compared to a normal daily average of 1.9 million shares. The stock set a new 52 week high of $26.74, eclipsing its old high of $25.46.
